XR Special Operations Department kindly invites everyone to International Special Operations Event Operation «Baikal» on the 27th of June 12:00 – 15:00 UTC.

The Russian emergency response service has received a message about a forest fire in the region of Irkutsk, near the villages of Kuret, Alaguy, and Yelantsy. On account of locals, the fire has been started with the presence of wind blowing to the west. It is moving quickly and presents a challenge for the self-evacuation of about 500 people.

In this concern, the operation «Baikal» is organized. The operation will consist of two parts:
1. Evacuation of peoples (12:00 - 13:30 UTC)
2. Firefighting (13:30 - 15:00 UTC)

All participants will take off from and land at Irkutsk airport (UIII). This has been selected so all participants are at the same airport.

Medium helicopters will be used for the evacuation. (minimum capacity of 10 passengers).

Heavy/medium hydroplanes will be used for means of fighting the fire, as well as heavy/medium aircraft and medium helicopters.
